Vietnam attends Russian press congress

Representatives from the Vietnam News Agency and Vietnam Television are participating in the 17 th World Russian Press Congress (WARP) which opened at the World Trade Centre in Moscow on June 10.

Representatives from the Vietnam News Agency and Vietnam Television are participating in the 17 th World Russian Press Congress (WARP) which opened at the World Trade Centre in Moscow on June 10.

At the three-day event, representatives from 63 countries worldwide will discuss concerns related to Russian-language media at five plenary sessions and two discussions.

Among participants of the two first plenary sessions after the opening ceremony were Sergei Naryshkin, Chairman of the Russian State Duma, and Sergei Ivanov, Chief of Staff of the Russian presidential office.

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is expected to make an important speech on the second day of the event.

WARP is organised annually with the aim to discuss the development of a common Russian-language media in the world, share professional experience and facilitate cultural exchanges.
