US$120 million wind power plant in Tra Vinh Province licensed

The People’s Committee in the Mekong delta province of Tra Vinh has given the certificate of investment of a wind power plant Han Quoc – Tra Vinh ( Korea – Tra Vinh).

The People’s Committee in the Mekong delta province of Tra Vinh has given the certificate of investment of a wind power plant Han Quoc – Tra Vinh ( Korea – Tra Vinh).

The plant jointly co-invested by Korean KUNHWA Company and Vietnam Applied Technical Co. Ltd is worth VND 2.4 trillion (US$120 million) and is slated to generate electricity to the national grid. It has a capacity of 48MW in the first phase, said Director of the provincial Economic Zones Management Board Le Tan Luc.

The plant covers an area of 1,213 hectare in Truong Long Hoa and Dan Thanh communes in Duyen Hai District.
