US pledges to create favorable condition for Vietnam’s agricultural products

Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc received US Secretary of Agriculture Thomas J.Vilsack at Government Office on April 25, on the occasion of his working visit in Vietnam.

 

PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc expressed his desire that the United States shall strengthen stronger cooperative activities and support Vietnam in agricultural production and climate change response.

The PM also suggested the US Government will present import license for Vietnamese agricultural products soon such as mango, star apple, and continue to support exportation of Pangasius to the U.S market.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a message: “Vietnamese Government and people are expecting the US President Barack Obama’s official visit to Vietnam this May”.

Thomas Vilsack affirmed that the U. S Government has always respected and maintained closely comprehensive cooperative relations with Vietnam, and is willing to support Vietnam in climate change response and create conditions to expand Vietnam’s agricultural product market adding that two countries need to continue to research and delete trade barrier which would contribute to strengthen effectively the comprehensive cooperation relations between Vietnam and the US in all fields.
