At the meeting, the city’s Party chief highly appreciated contributions of the British ambassador in strengthening bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom with Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, UK is one of the biggest trade and investment partners of the city.
The two- way trade turnover between Ho Chi Minh City and UK reached more than US$ 800 million last year.
The city leader hoped that British ambassador Giles Lever would continue affirming his role in boosting cooperative programs between the city and UK, including pilot model for public-private partnership under the technological assistance of the partner in carrying out the construction project of medical examination and treatment area at the Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital; and calling on the British enterprises to invest the fields of education, commerce and smart urban development…in Vietnam.
