The 2018 Green Consumption Campaign kicked off

Ho Chi Minh City's annual Green Consumption Campaign encouraging people to buy eco-friendly products and discourage enterprises with operations harmful to the environment has been kicked off in Ho Chi Minh City on May 20.

More than 1,000 young volunteers participated in the launching ceremony of the event which is co-orgainzed by the Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper and Saigon Union of Trading Co-operatives.
Started in 2010, the campaign becomes an annual event that is regaded as the country’s largest movements aiming at establishing consumption habits of consumers to benefit the environment. The campaign has attracted over 50,000 volunteers and more than 4 million residents pledging to use green products. said Sai Gon Giai Phong Deputy Editor-in-Chief Ly Viet Trung at the launching ceremony.
The Co.opmart supermarket chain will offer 4,000 coupons to encourage consumers to use green products and use eco-friendly bags.
