Tay Ninh inaugurates Victory Monument & picture of Central Committee of South Vietnam

The People's Committee of Tay Ninh province yesterday organized a solemn ceremony to inaugurate a Victory Monument at Junction City historical site in Tan Chau town, Tan Chau district and a painting-picture of Central Committee of South Vietnam on the wall at Tan Lap commune in Tan Bien district.

Attending in the inauguration ceremony were former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, Minister of Culture, Sport and Tourism Hoang Tuan Anh.

The victory monument covered 6, 760 square meters with total construction expense of over VND 19 billion. The construction aims to save great victories of Vietnamese soldiers and people in wartime. Moreover, it is considered as the meaningful work to educate the generations about love to the country; express national solidarity and gratitude of young generation for soldiers who laid down for the country.

After the ribbon cutting ceremony, the central and local leaders and delegations visited the Central Committee for South Vietnam historical site at Tan Lap commune in Tan Bien district to launch a picture showed achievements and historical events in the country over the past many years.

The construction is located on 9, 000 square meters with total capital of VND 23 billion. The picture with height of 5 meters and width of 40 meters was made from terracotta.

Chairman of the People’s Council of Tay Ninh province Tran Luu Quang stressed: “ The construction expressed the deep gratitude of Vietnamese people in general and Tay Ninh’s authority and people in particular for great revolutionary achievements of Vietnamese soldiers”.
