State President receives Polish Ambassador

President Tran Dai Quang received the Ambassador of Poland, Barbara Szymanowska, who came to say goodbye on the occasion of ending her term of office in Vietnam yesterday.

At the meeting, President Tran Dai Quang highly appreciated the Ambassador’s contribution to promoting economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries during her term.

Poland is the biggest trading partner of Vietnam among Central European and Eastern European countries, with 2-way trade turnover  reaching US$ 1 billion in 2017.

President Quang expressed his wish that the two sides should coordinate to find appropriate projects to effectively carry out the disbursement EUR 250 million preferential credit in the agreement signed between the two leaders during the visit of the Polish President to Vietnam.

The President also thanked Poland for its support of Vietnam's candidature for the non-permanent member of UN Security Council Standing Committee for the 2020-2021 term.
