“Dredging the Soai Rap River Bank is 85 percent finished and is expected to complete mid-April,” said Tat Thanh Cang, director of Transport Department of HCMC on March 22.
It will have capacity to hold 50,000-ton ships to Hiep Phuoc Port when finished.
Dredging crews working around the clock are highly appreciated, said Mr. Cang.
The port currently has queue for use by multiple shipping companies upon completion.
