Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper has cooperated with PepsiCo Company and border soldiers to offer Tet gifts to disadvantaged people in the remote commune of Dak Nhoong in Dak Glei District in the central highland province of Kon Tum.
A delegation will be sent to hand over more than 200 Tet gifts to disadvantaged people. They will also present computers to the Dak Nhoong secondary school.
This activity forms part of the ongoing SGGP charity program “Nghia Tinh Truong Son” (Sentimental Attachment for Truong Son Road) launched by the newspaper in 2009.
Dak Nhoong is a peaceful commune on the Vietnam-Lao border spread across a mountain. The population comprises mostly of various ethnic groups who are facing much deprivation and difficulties.
The provincial government expressed their appreciation of such a meaningful program which helps students’ access modern technology, and brings warmth and joy for ethnic people during Tet.
