SGGP charity program offered donation for second phase

Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper's charity program “Sentimental attachment for Truong Son Road” was offered a generous donation of VND1 billion (US$50,000) from Que Huong Liberty Joint Stock Company on November 10.

Tran Thanh A, general director of the company expressed his appreciation at the success of the first phase of the charity program and said it was an honor to pledge a donation towards the second phase of the program which he hoped would continue to help the poor ethnic minority groups living along Truong Son Road.

Tran The Tuyen, SGGP Editor-in-Chief gratefully acknowledged the company's generous donation offer for the second phase of the program.

On the same day, representatives of SGGP and Ward 2 of District 11 donated a house to Tran Xuan at 28/12 Phu Tho Street in Ward 2 of District 11.

Xuan is a disabled man of Chinese origin and was living in a dilapidated house in abject poverty.
