This is the second visit of the South Korean coast guard ship since 2016, aiming to bolster mutual confidence and deepen the strategical partnership between Vietnam and Korea.

Especially, this visit marked the 25th establishment anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries (on December 22, 1992- 2017).

During the four day visit, the officers and sailors will join exchange programs with the Vietnam Coast Guard High Command to strengthen relationship between the nations’ coast guard forces.

On the occasion, they will pay a courtesy visit to the People’s Committee of Da Nang city and the High Command of Coast Guard Region 2.

Leaders of Da Nang city also suggested the both sides to continue expanding cooperation relations, sharing experience in the fields of seeking, recusing and ensuring security in the sea.

The visit is scheduled to last by September 7.
