River landslide hits Ca Mau

A serious river bank landslide suddenly occurred in Nam Can town, Nam Can district of Ca Mau province yesterday.

The landslide affected to 26 households. Among them, 16 houses were swallowed into the river with a total damage of VND 1 billion.

Chairman of the People’s Committee of Nam Can town Mr. Pham Truong Giang said that the authorities timely assist effected families to stabilize their lives. 

On May 29, five houses in Long Hau commune, Can Giuoc district, Long An had cracked the walls. 

After receiving the information, local authorities took local people to safer places.
