Seven out of ten communes in the district have reported much damage. Ganh Dau Commune lost five motors in the floodwaters while Cua Duong Commune saw hundred of houses inundated, and nearly 500 pigs and poultry were swept away. Pepper plant crops were also washed away by the deluge.

Dong Duong town and Cua Can Commune were the worst hit. Traffic along several roads was completely cut off as vast stretches lay under water with landslides in many sections. Hundreds of houses were flooded and many fishing boats battered by huge waves.
