Millions of people attended a flag-raising ceremony in Quang Tri Province yesterday morning to celebrate the end of the Viet Nam War thirty two years ago.
A symbol of peace and the nation’s prosperity, the ceremony at Hien Luong on the Ben Hai River was graced by the presence of former vice president Nguyen Thi Binh.
In the days of struggle against the US military, the flag symbolized the Vietnamese people’s wish for peace.
