Quang Nam receives largest amount of aid from RoK

The central coastal province of Quang Nam had received the most non-refundable ODA from the Republic of Korea (RoK) Government with over US$41 million over the past 25 years, said Vice Chairman of the Quang Nam’s People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh at the opening ceremony of the Korean Day program kicked off in the province on December 15.

About 31 Korean enterprises are operating in Quang Nam with a total capital of nearly US$ 250 million, creating jobs for 10,000 laborers.
The province has also annually received development and humanitarian assistance worth hundreds of millions of US dollars from the Rok’s non-governmental orgnizations, added the Vice Chairman.
In recent year, the RoK has been among top 5 countries with the biggest number of tourists to Quang Nam. The province is expected to welcome more than 300,000 Korean travellers in 2017.
The Korean Day program marking the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK) includes a series of activities in various fields, such as culture, arts, diplomacy, economy, educationa and among from December 15-17.
One of the highlight events in the Korean Film Week featuring the best award-winning films in the RoK is taking place from December 11-17.
