Professor Ngo Bao Chau opens club for young talents

Professor Ngo Bao Chau launched a club called “The nurturing garden for young talents” at Tuan Chau tourist area, in Quang Ninh Province’s Ha Long Bay on January 10.

Professor Ngo Bao Chau launched a club called “The nurturing garden for young talents” at Tuan Chau tourist area, in Quang Ninh Province’s Ha Long Bay on January 10.

The professor hoped that the club will be home where Vietnamese young talents will be able to meet and exchange experiences with local and international scientists.

The club will operate on fields including educational consultation, short-term stay, and organizing cultural and scientific events.

The opening ceremony was also organized in Hanoi on the evening of the same day.

Professor Ngo Bao Chau won the Fields Medal – popularly known as the Nobel Prize for mathematics – in 2010, becoming the first Vietnamese to take the world renowned prize.
