PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc joins 2nd Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Summit

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc led a delegation to attend in the second Mekong-Lancang Cooperation (MLC) Summit in Phnompenh capital of Cambodia this morning.

The visit was made at an invitation of Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

The second MLC Summit was co- hosted by Cambodia and China. 

Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Summit is held annually once every two years in the member countries under its target of boosting comprehensive cooperation for the regional benefits, raising mutual understanding, regional peacekeeping and stabilization, regional and global comprehensive economic integration, development of neighboring relationships… 

Vietnam has actively participated in Mekong-Lancang cooperation with effective contributions via proposing projects in the first phase Mekong-Lancang cooperation. 

Accordingly, the Vietnam delegation consisted of senior leaders as Minister, Chairman of the Office of the Government Mai Tien Dung; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son; Deputy Minister of Defense Nguyen Chi Vinh; Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam; Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh; Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Tran Quoc Khanh; Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong; Deputy Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs Le Tan Dung; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Van Thang and Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Bui Huy Hung.
