The Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the People's Committee of Soc Trang province opened an exhibition entitled ‘Paracel, Spratly Islands of Vietnam- historical and legal evidences’ at display house for Khmer cultural material on November 4.

On display are nearly 121 maps over historical periods, official document of Nguyen Dynasty and two documentary photos in order to affirm strongly Vietnam’s sovereignty over Paracel and Spratly Islands.
The exhibition also is favorable opportunity to not only introduce ancient maps, documents, photos to domestic and international visitors, aiming to affirm strongly Vietnam’s sovereignty over Paracel and Spratly Islands on East Sea but also express desire of Vietnamese people in maintaining peace in the region.
The exhibition will run till November 10.
