The international humanitarian organization, Oxfam, will provide preferential and unsecured loans to enterprises in Vietnam to promote trade.

The support aims to eradicate hunger and alleviate poverty in the country.  It is part of a pilot program started in Nigeria, Uganda and Vietnam costing EUR 8 million.

The organization will provide loans to enterprises for expansion. These enterprises can therefore easily access social investment capital. Small and medium businesses benefitting small households, women and children will have first access to loans.

The pilot program plans to provide a training course to enterprises and 10 business scheme consultations for 2014-2015. Enterprises which satisfy Oxfam’s investment requirements can loan up to EUR 10,000-1.5 million.
