Over VND 13,115 bln to be invested into Belt Road No.2

The Ho Chi Minh City Transport Department yesterday said that the city will implement three construction projects for Belt Road No.2 with total capital of over VND 13,115 billion, contributing to reduce traffic jam in the period of 2017- 2018.

Particularly, the first project will be built in the section from Phu Huu Bridge to Hanoi Highway having 3.8 kilometer long and 67 meter -wide with total investment capital of VND 5,732 billion.

The Belt Road No.2 in section from Binh Thai intersection to Pham Van Dong Street is designed to have 2 kilometer long and 67 meter- wide road with total investment of VND 1,324 billion.

The third project in the section from An Lac intersection- National Highway No.1 to Nguyen Van Linh Street is expected to have 5.3 kilometer long and 60 meter right of way, six lanes for the first phase. Investment capital is estimated to reach VND 6,059 billion.

Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has proposed the Prime Minister to approve the BT (Build-Operate) form for the city’s 12 traffic infrastructure construction and investment projects, including the three construction projects for the Belt Road No.2.
