One person was killed and two others were injured in a deadly crane collapse on yesterday noon at a construction site in Le Hong Phong Street in the northern city of Hai Phong.
A building of the Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam is being constructed at the site. The 70m-tall crane fell between times the street is crowded with traveling vehicles. Consequently, 54 year old Le Quang Ha in Ngo Quyen District died on the spot in the incident and 42 year old Vu Ngoc Long and 66 year old Doan Thi Tuyen were wounded seriously and then they were taken to emergency room of Viet-Tiep Hospital.
After the incident took place, the street was severely congested because the crane was lying across the street. The local police arrived at the site immediately to investigate the case and ease the traffic.
