Oil price cut for fifth time, petrol price unchanged

The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) slashed the retail prices of some types of oil on September 19, but the price of RON 92 petrol remains unchanged.

The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) slashed the retail prices of some types of oil on September 19, but the price of RON 92 petrol remains unchanged.

The price of diesel was cut to 21,500 VND per litre and that of kerosene was reduced to 21,670 VND. Mazut now costs 18,100 VND per kilogramme.

This is the fifth time that oil retail prices have been cut since August. The latest price cut was on September 9.

The Ministry of Finance requested maintaining the current price of RON 92 petrol which is still 12 VND lower than the base price per litre.
