Lots of obstacles were put at two bridgeheads of Dak Cam temporary bridge, Kon Tum city by the inhabitants nearby due to the renting amounts which have not yet paid by the working unit.

At 10 a.m. this Monday, at two bridgeheads of Dak Cam temporary bridge on Ho Chi Minh Highway, lots of obstacles such as rocks, branches, etc. were used by the inhabitants to block the bridge.

To explain for this unpleasant behavior, Le Thi Kim Hong and Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh accused the working unit, Civil Engineering Construction Corporation 8 or CIENCO 8 of its tardy payment. As agreements, CIENCO 8 will pay VND 4 million per month for 100m2 land it uses to build temporary bridge. They also promised to pay renting amounts, VND 70 million in total for 400m2 land with the same purpose.

These inhabitants, however, have not received any money from this company as promised since January. They have endured this inconvenience for a long time and also reported this issue to many organizations but no solution was proposed.

The traffic there was held up by the obstacles. Many appropriate authorities in Kon Tum city as traffic policemen, traffic inspectors and mobile policemen came but were unable to solve the problem.

At 11.30 a.m., People’s Committee of Kon Tum city took this issue into account. They compromised with the inhabitants on dealing with their pressing matter and asked the appropriate authorities to remove the obstacles and clear up the traffic jam.
