Ninh Thuan Province People’ Committee has ordered two companies to remove three petrol unsafe stations before April 1st , otherwise they will face business suspension, said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoan - Director of the Department of Trade and Industry of the province.
The three stations must be removed to new locations because they can't meet fire fighting demands and security requirements.
One of them belonging to Ninh Thuan Oil Branch is located in the center of Phan Rang market. Two others owned by Ninh Thuan Trade and Service Joint-Stock Company are positioned on street August 21 in the downtown of Ninh Thuan city.
The People's Committee of Ninh Thuan province announced replacement policy and introduced new locations in 2010 but the companies have still delayed removal.
The public have raised concern over risks of fire, explosion in urban area from the three stations.
