A charity program titled “For Agent Orange Pain” that has been launched across the country, is calling on people at home and abroad to send SMS messages to support all victims of Agent Orange.
According to the organizer, the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange (VAVA), supporters can send SMS messages stating the word “DACAM” to the number 1409, and with each message VND18,000 will be donated towards a fund that will help the cause.
The campaign will run from July 10 to September 4, 2012.
All proceeds will be spent on building charity houses, rehabilitation of victims, and medical and vocational educational centers for Agent Orange victims and their relatives.
The program collected more than VND7 billion in 2011.
