National Assembly grills Gov’t

In the last three days of the fourth working week in the fifth session of the 12th National Assembly (NA), the Government will answer questions from delegates.

Before the question and answer session, Tran The Vuong, member of the NA’s Standing Committee will report on voters’ petitions.

Nguyen Xuan Phuc, chairman of the Government Office said that the Government received 171 questions from NA delegates. Ten questions are for the Government and seven for the PM.

Standing Deputy Prime Minister, Nguyen Sinh Hung, is expected to answer questions on behalf of the Government.

The Ministers of Industry and Trade; Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Health; Natural Resources and Environment; Planning and Investment; Finance; and Culture, Sports and Tourism are also expected to answer questions if the NA Standing Committee agrees.

The NA will also listen to reports and discuss quality food control, safety and hygiene.

The NA’s deliberations will be broadcast live on radio and TV.

The fifth meeting of the 12th National Assembly opened on May 20 in Hanoi and is expected to end June 20.
