Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs Do Van Chien and Minister of Public Security To Lam will be at the centre of the question-and-answer sitting, which is broadcast live on national television and radio.
Opening the Q&A meeting, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan said the selection of the two Cabinet ministers for the session is based on opinions of NA deputies, voters and public opinion.
The Q&A will focus on two main groups of issues, one of which concerns the implementation of policies on ethnic minority groups’ access to essential social services (such as education-training and health care), infrastructure, vocational training and job creation, poverty reduction and improvement of material and spiritual lives.
The other group of issues cover the maintenance of security and social safety and order, particularly in big cities and industrial parks; crime control and prevention; economic crimes; crimes related to position abuse; hi-tech crimes, drug crimes; and the management and building of the national database on population.
During the process of questioning, Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers and head of sectors in charge of relevant issues will also provide explanations when necessary.
Following the opening remark of the NA Chairwoman, the Q&A session began with Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs Do Van Chien.
