She was welcomed at Nursultan Nazarbayev international airport by Vietnamese Ambassador to Kazakhstan Doan Thi Xuan Hien, Vice Chairman of the Mazhilis (lower house) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan Bojko Vladimir Karpovich and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Kazkhastan.

This is the first-ever visit to Kazakhstan by a Vietnamese National Assembly head.

The visit is being made at the invitation of Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament Kassym Zhomart Tokayev and Chairman of the Mazhilis (lower house) of the Parliament Nurlan Nigmatulin.

The Vietnamese and Kazakh legislative bodies have also maintained collaboration, both bilaterally and multilaterally.

The visit to Kazakhstan by Chairwoman Ngan is expected to foster the bilateral partnership in economy, trade, investment, energy and culture-education.

The Vietnamese top legislator earlier had a series of activities at the 137th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly (IPU-137) held in Saint Petersburg.-
