Vietnam Competition Authority under the Ministry of Industry and Trade put into service a consumer assistance switchboard on 1800 6838 in Hanoi to answer queries and complaints of consumers nationwide on Thursday.
Consumers’ calls to the switchboard are free of charge.
The launch of the switchboard is a respond to the World Consumer Rights Day, March 15.
The agency plans to install the switchboard at its representative office in Ho Chi Minh City and connect the line with departments of industry and trade and consumer protection associations around the country by the second quarter this year.
