Landslides, floods triggered by heavy downpour in the central province of Khanh Hoa’s Nha Trang City this morning disrupted traffic on main streets heading to Cam Ranh International Airport.

On November 25, at 14pm Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard connecting Nha Trang City and Cam Ranh International Airport (Khanh Hoa province) interruped completely. Landslides occurred , with thousands of tons of rock, soil falling down from Cu Hin Hill on to this route.

Mr. Vo Ngoc Anh Dung, Deputy head of Road No.1 Management Board of Nha Trang City said this afternoon, vehicles could not travel on the route from Nguyen Tat Thanh Boulevard to Cu Hin hill.

Besides landslides, this route was flooded causing vehicles not able to travel. The board mobilized forces to clear the landslide it is forecast the route will be reopened soon if torrential rains will not continue to cover over the city.

Earlier, there were 10 landslide spots on this route after landslides occurred due to heavy rains and floods.
