As requested by Huong and her family, the Vietnamese Embassy and the Vietnam Bar Federation have been coordinating with relevant agencies and the bar association of Malaysia to arrange the assistance.

Representatives of the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia made a consular visit to Huong on March 15 to enquire after Huong and learn about the humanitarian treatment to her.

Huong said she was in good health and that she had been tricked into engaging in the case.

Later the same day, representatives of the Foreign Ministry’s Consular Department informed Huong’s family in Nam Dinh province about her situation.
