Laos honors leaders of Vietnam Fatherland Front

The honorary title aims to recognize their great contributions in building bilateral friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

On the occasion, six former leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee received the second-class Labor Medal, and 31 comrades received Memorial Medals of the Lao Front for National Construction.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister of Lao presented the ‘Itsala Medal’ (Freedom) to 12 leaders of the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense, in Hanoi on July 21.

The ‘Itsala Medal’ is the highest award of the Lao Party and conferred for outstanding contributions made by Vietnamese leaders in training Lao army officers during the period 2005-2010.
