Korean Consulate General asked to find business in wage debt

The southern province of Dong Nai has proposed the Korean Consulate General in HCMC to find and contact the parent company of Texwell Vina Company in South Korea to work with relevant sides and solve wage debt to 1,900 workers.

On February 23, the provincial Labor Confederation said it coordinated with Dong Nai province People’s Committee and Party Committee to work with the South Korean Consulate General in HCMC about Texwell Vina owner's leave from Vietnam without paying workers' wage.
The company is headquartered in Bau Xeo Industrial Park, Trang Bom district.
The province has had the Consulate General to find and contact with the parent company of Texwell Vina to solve the issue. In case the owner does not return to Vietnam, the company’s properties in Bau Xeo industrial park will be determined to be ownerless.
Authorized agencies will base on the law on ownerless properties to get funds to pay workers' wage.
