Khanh Hoa approved to build two solar energy projects

The south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa will build two solar energy projects with a total investment capital of VND 4.3 trillion.

The Khanh Hoa People’s Committee approved Van Ninh Urban Construction Joint Stock Company as main investor for first two projects of solar energy in the province. 

The first one covers 200 hectares of land in Xuan Tay village, Van Hung commune of Van Ninh district with its investment capital up to VND 2.4 trillion and a capacity of 100 MW. It will provide 160 million kWh a year. 

Meanwhile, the Central Power Corporation under the Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) is investor for the second project with its investment capital of VND 1.9 trillion, a capacity of 50 MW. 

The second one covers an area of 70 hectares in Cam An Bac ward, Cam Lam district. 

As plan, solar power project of 50 MW's procedures would be sent to Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Prime Minister to supplement a list of the national energy development project for  the 2011- 2020 period and its vision to 2030.
