Hungary opens its consulate general in Ho Chi Minh City

Hungarian Consult General was opened at Lim Tower, No. 9- 11 Ton Duc Thang Street in district 1 on January 13.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto said that one of leading missions of the Hungarian Consult General is to support enterprises to seek investment opportunity in the city, and connect enterprises between the two countries.

Particularly, Hungary Eximbank Bank will donate US$ 200 million for the linking activities.

On behalf of the city’s leader, Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thu expressed her belief as Hungarian Consult General continues to be a bridge for cooperative projects between Ho Chi Minh City and Hungary, contributing in developing two countries’ traditional friendly cooperative relations.

On the same day, Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem had a reception with Mr. Szijito Peter.

At the meeting, the deputy chairman expressed his desire Hungary will open Office of Hungarian Trade Center in Ho Chi Minh City soon, aiming to strengthen further cooperation between Ho Chi Minh City and Hungary in future.
