Hot line of sand exploitation to be set up

The Department of Environment and Natural Resource in the southern province of Binh Duong July 17 said that it will tighten the control over sand exploitation and set up hot line.

Sand exploitation will be under close observation especially in bordering crossings with the southern provinces of Tay Ninh and Dong Nai.
Inspectors of inter-department will enhance supervision of sand exploitation in rivers Sai Gon, Dong Nai, Song Be and Thi Tinh to prevent illegal exploitation making harm to embankments and households in the section.
Inspectors will issue harsh penalties even revocation of business licenses of enterprises which conduct illicit sand exploitation and transportation.
The Department will carefully observe the exploitation activity after granting permits as well as set up banned sections for exploitation in the province.
The authority will strictly manage sand and rock trading in bordering areas with Tay Ninh, Dong Nai provinces. It established hot line to receive information of violation in the field for timely handling.
