HCMC plans to provide vocational training to rural laborers

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has planned to provide vocational training to at least 500 laborers in rural districts who work in agriculture field.

Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has planned to provide vocational training to at least 500 laborers in rural districts who work in agriculture field.

As per the city's plan, it is expected that by 2020, these trainned laborers will work for enterprises in the city. Accordingly, the city will train 150 laborers from outlying district Cu Chi, 100 laborers from districts Hoc Mon, Binh Chanh respectively and 75 laborers in districts Nha Be and Can Gio. 

Trainees are rural people in working ages with proper knowledge and good health condition for the training jobs or those with permanent residence registration in the commune working in farms or agricultural employment have desire to work in enterprises in HCMC or those from low-income families.

Trained countryside men will receive financial support of VND2.5 million (US$110.6) per person.
Total training expenditure for 500 rural laborers is estimated to reach VND1.3 billion (US$ 57,550.9)  from the city's budget.
