HCMC leader visits Green Summer activists in Quang Ngai Province

She was accompanied by other officials in the city’s Standing Committee of the Communist Youth Union and the Green Summer Campaign Steering Committee.

Ms. Thu recorded and appreciated their efforts in doing several meaningful works for local residents.

Beginning July 21, 31 activists from 14 colleges and universities in the city are conducting charity activities on the island.

They have given 158 medicine cabinets to fishermen and audio equipment and televisions to two fishing trade unions in the island. In addition, the young activists have helped local children to revise their lessons, organized amusement activities and given them five computers.

They have coordinated together with local youth in clean the coast, repaired electric problems and offered presents to the poor and those under the preferential treatment.

On this occasion, Ms. Thu gave nursery schools in An Hai and An Vinh communes VND10 million to equip new school supplies and toys and local military soldiers VND5 million to purchase sport equipment.

She also visited 90-year-old Vietnamese heroic mother Tran Thi Pham--the only heroic mother alive in the district.
