Deputy Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem welcomed former Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta and his wife yesterday, on the occasion of their visit to Ho Chi Minh City.
At the meeting, the former Italian Prime Minister appreciated the city’s important role for the South East Asia region’s economy growth in general and Vietnam’s economy growth in particular.
Last year, the office of Italian General Consult was set up in Ho Chi Minh City. As a result of that Italian businesses has interested in the development and investment environment in Ho Chi Minh City, added Enrico Letta.
Deputy Chairman Le Thanh Liem also introduced strong point and potentials of Ho Chi Minh City, expressing hope that Italia will strengthen cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City in all fields.
Besides, Ho Chi Minh City authority will create attractive policies and best favorable conditions for Italian investors.
