HCM City celebrates Vietnam-Russia 65-year ties

A ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the foundation of Vietnam -Soviet Union (now Russian Federation) friendly relationship was held at the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations on February 2.

A ceremony marking the 65th anniversary of the foundation of Vietnam -Soviet Union (now Russian Federation) friendly relationship was held at the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations on February 2.

Vice Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Manh Ha stressed the importance of bilateral diplomatic ties between the two countries. It is a mutual support and long- standing traditional friendship.

He thanked Russian people for supporting Vietnam in the past struggle for national liberation and the current cause of national construction and development.

Ho Chi Minh City has currently 21 Russian-invested  projects worth US$32.45 million.

Russian Consul General in HCM City, Alexey ladimirovich emphasized the political friendship between the two countries have always been developed.

He hoped that the two countries will continue to strengthen and deepen the friendship.
