Replying to press questions on the sideline of a National Assembly session this morning, Mr. Hai said that the city will make a public announcement about results of the opinion poll.
Answering the public question that Hanoi has chopped down too many trees unnecessarily for the construction of Ha Dong-Cat Linh urban railway project, Mr. Hai said that managers and technicians must work together to consider optimal design for the project.
Mr. Hai committed to keeping a close eye on chopping down and removing the trees.
Hanoi’s urban development motto is ‘green, clean, beautiful and preserving’ and the city has issued a resolution on environment. Trees will not be removed unless it is irresistible for infrastructure development projects, he affirmed.
