More than 3,000 free bus tickets totaling over VND1 billion (US$ 46,890) were given to workers in Ha Noi's industrial zones to set off home to observe the Lunar New Year, or Tet holiday.

The ticket-giving ceremony was held in Bac Thang Long Industrial Zone in Hanoi’s Dong Anh District on February 15 and 16. Workers will return their home to re-unite their relatives in the Lunar New Year on free trips arranged by the city’s Department of Transport and the Labor Union.

At the ceremony, a representative of the city wished workers to have a happy new year and gave them lucky money.

In February 15, 80 buses left the bus station to take workers back their hometown.
