Fresh water reservoir makes available for residents in border crossings

Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee and committee to manage the fund for island support and soldiers in border crossings yesterday gave fresh water reservoir, a well, a pump and a 2km pipe to residents in the southern province of Binh Phuoc’s Loc Ninh District.

The fresh water construction cost VND300 million funded by the fund and soldiers from calling social contribution.
On the occasion, the Fatherland Front Committee in HCMC also gave 100 presents to locals and scholarships to poor students of Thanh Phu Village.
The village has 138 households with 486 residents including 78 households belonging to ethnic minority groups. Most locals are poor and they have difficulties with fresh water supplier especially in dry season.
