Free milk donated to needy children in Quang Tri

The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA), the Vietnam Children Sponsoring Fund and the Vietnam Rising Fund held a ceremony to hand over the milk glasses and scholarships to disadvantaged children in the central province of Quang Tri.

Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly cum Minister of MoLISA Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan presented the glasses of milk to children of meager-income families and beneficiaries of social policies. She also gave 100 scholarships to children whose their parents are revolutionary martyrs and wounded soldiers in the province.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Children Sponsoring Fund also donated VND1.6 billion (7US$5,200) to needy children and children of families in the top welfare brackets in the locality. In 2014, the Vietnam Rising Fund has provided free milk worth nearly VND83 billion (US$3.9 million) to disadvantaged children nationwide, contributing to improving their physical and mental condition.
