France to help Vietnam build e-government

Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Truong Minh Tuan has just had a working session with France’s Secretary of state for State Reform and Simplification Mr. Jean-Vincent Placé and delegations including French agencies, organizations and enterprises in Hanoi.

Minister of Information and Communications, Mr. Truong Minh Tuan has just had a working session with France’s Secretary of state for State Reform and Simplification Mr. Jean-Vincent Placé and delegations including French agencies, organizations and enterprises in Hanoi.

At the working session, Minister Truong Minh Tuan affirmed that the visit of French delegation was very important in carrying out Letters of Intent between France and Vietnam about e-government that signed in Paris on October 30, 2016.

The Vietnamese leader shared that Vietnam considered information technology as a top priority to develop socio-economic sector; and France is one of top leading countries in the world of e-government development index, especially in providing public services.

As this reason, the Southeast Asian country is much cared about France’s experience in implementation of programs and projects related to e-government and information security. Secretary of state, Mr. Jean-Vincent Placé said that France would be willing to assist Vietnam not only in information technology training but also sharing experience of e-government building and information security assurance.
