Through paying unscheduled visits to 10,300 agro-forestry and fishery manufacturers nationwide from the beginning of the year, inspectors from NAFIQAD, the Department of Animal Health and the Department of Plant Protection detected 1,100 violating units.
To ensure the food safety in last months of the year, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said inspectors will enhance supervision of chemicals and antibiotic residues in fish breeding.
Moreover, inspectors will liaise with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Health , the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Department of Customs to carry out investigation of smuggling of banned substances and pesticides.
