The center said due to affection of northwest low pressure rough accompanied by low pressure zone, on July 9, several parts of the Northern provinces such as Sinho (Lai Chau), Sapa (Lao Cai), Bac Me (Ha Giang), Thai Nguyen and Nguyen Binh (Cao Bang) experience prolonged rains, heavy rains at the rainfall of 46mm to 108mm.
It is predicted that rains, thunderstorms will last in the next days. In order to reduce the damages caused by heavy rains, the mountainous areas need to have measures to prevent flash floods and landslides.
Hoa Binh province continues suffering heavy rains with the rainfall at 41mm.
In the next 3 to 6 hours, landslides, flash floods can occur at Luong Son, Da Bac, Kim Boi, Lac Son, Cao Phong, Lac Thuy, Tan Lac districts of Hoa Binh province.
