Expatriates return home to participate in patriotic emulation movement

Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Nguyen Van Pha yesterday afternoon received a delegation of Vietnamese expatriates from 14 countries and territories who have returned home to attend the 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

Deputy Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Central Committee Nguyen Van Pha yesterday afternoon received a delegation of Vietnamese expatriates from 14 countries and territories who have returned home to attend the 9th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

At the meeting, oversea Vietnamese expressed gladness to receive the increasing attention by the Party, State and the Front for them and affirmed their desire to make contributions to the country’s development.

They hoped there will have more regular programs and activities bringing the community of oversea Vietnamese chances to come back to and visit their native land.

Some proposed more assistance by the Party, the State and the Front to head their children towards their native soil via programs to teach Vietnamese, boost images of Vietnam and Vietnamese’s on international TV channels and organize Vietnam Day abroad.

Besides attending the program, the delegation will visit frontier posts, landmarks, Lao Cai International Border Gate and Sa Pa tourist town and burn incense to commemorate the late General Vo Nguyen Giap.
