According to EVN, the power supply during the dry season this year is expected to be rather strained.

Although the group had earlier accumulated sufficient water for hydropower reservoirs, the water level is still below normal, especially in the reservoirs in central and central highland regions.

Besides generating power from fuel and diesel oil, the group will also tap thermal and wind power sources.

Total power output consumed in February was 297.3 million kWh a day and is expected to increase to 355 million kWh a day in March.

Electricity demand this year is expected to rise by 8.48 percent from last year.
