Dong Thap Province links farmers and enterprises

People’s Committee in the Mekong delta province of Dong Thap said that since the beginning of the year, it has promoted cooperation in agricultural production with enterprises and other provinces.

People’s Committee in the Mekong delta province of Dong Thap said that since the beginning of the year, it has promoted cooperation in agricultural production with enterprises and other provinces.

The province has 77,011 hectares of paddy field in the New Rural Development Plan with 47,000 farmer households. Small fish breeding farms also associate with each other to help in production and consumption.

Currently, the province has 400 hectare of fish breeding farms which joined in the chains. Enterprises will invest in techniques and consume fishes.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural development in Dong Thap Province also liaised with foreign companies and related agencies to help mango farmers improve technique and export the fruit. Since the beginning of the year, nearly 15,000 tons of mango have been sold in the market including exporting to South Korea, Japan, and China.

Additionally, Co May and Vinh Nghiep enterprises cooperated with My Hoa Cooperative in Dong Thap Province’s Thap Muoi District to sell one million duck eggs.
